To ask the Minister of Education to detail the number of providers registered under the Northern Ireland Childcare Subsidy Scheme, broken down by provider type, including the number of (i) primary schools; (ii) nursery school; and (iii) other childcare providers, as of 1 September 2025.
Answer:
As of 4 September 2024, 1,924 providers had registered for the Northern Ireland Childcare Subsidy Scheme. The table below provides a breakdown by provider type, including (i) 18 primary schools; (ii) 0 nursery schools; and (iii) 1,906 other childcare providers.
