To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether her Department has undertaken, or plans to undertake, an assessment of the impact of traffic congestion in Ballykelly on local economic development.

Answer:

My Department does not routinely assess the impact of traffic congestion on economic development.

My Department is in the process of developing a new Transport Strategy that will help to shape the vision and strategic priorities for transport through to 2035. Once this is published, it will help to inform the Transport Plan for the Regional Strategic Transport Network, which will include the strategic network at Ballykelly.
