Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities whether he intends to engage directly with the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media in the Republic of Ireland regarding the design and terms of reference of the Shared Island Cultural Cooperation funding schemes.

Answer:

I met with Minister O’Donovan on 9 April 2025, and the Shared Island programme formed part of the discussion. My officials liaise regularly with their counterparts on this, and other matters of mutual interest. They will continue to do so.

Decisions on the design and terms of reference of the Shared Island Cultural Cooperation funding schemes are properly matters for the Government of Ireland.
