Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail the number of incidents of schools not providing a correct code on attendance records, over the last five years.

Answer:

Neither the Department of Education, or the Education Authority holds a record of the number of incidents where a school is incorrectly utilising attendance or absence codes incorrectly.

It is the requirement of each school to accurately code attendance in line with the current guidance, issued at the start of each academic year.
