Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail the amount of funding allocated to the creation of Local Impact Teams.

Answer:

The Local IMPACT Team (LiT) model was developed on a budget neutral basis.

The process of establishing the LiT network was funded as part of the wider DE/EA SEND Transformation Programme and the LiT element of that funding has been approximately £3.75m in total spread across four financial years.

A case has been made to increase the overall staffing footprint of the LiT network, particularly in the early years phase (in line with previous Fair Start recommendations).
