To ask the Minister of Education to detail the number of vacancies remaining in Local Impact Teams, as of the start of the academic year 2025-26.

Answer:

By the end of the last academic year, 42.2 FTE frontline vacancies had arisen across the EA’s pre-existing SEND support services as part of ‘business as usual’. In addition to that a further 24 FTE Teacher posts had been proposed across the Local Impact Teams (LiTs) network. EA-wide restrictions meant that recruitment for these posts was delayed over the summer but is now underway.
