To ask the Minister for the Economy whether there will be specific funding opportunities available for enterprises that align their practices with the objectives of the Northern Ireland Food Strategy Framework Action Plan 2025-27.

Answer:

My department, through Invest NI, offers a range of financial and non-financial support to Food and Drink businesses, not least through the Agri Food Investment Initiative – a £46m initiative to improve the economic performance, productivity and competitiveness of the sector through transformative capital investments. Alignment with the Food Strategy Framework Action Plan is not a requirement for assistance.
