To ask the Minister for Communities to detail (i) any engagement his Department has had with the Housing Executive on its Domestic Violence Action Plan since its publication in 2024; and (ii) whether his Department has contributed any ring-fenced funding to support its progression.

Answer:

My officials receive regular updates from the Housing Executive on progress against actions within its Domestic Violence Action Plan which contribute to the delivery of the Executive’s Domestic and Sexual Abuse Strategy 2024-2031.

The Departments of Health and Justice are joint policy leads for Domestic and Sexual Abuse. The Department of Justice awarded the Housing Executive £73,000 via the Domestic and Sexual Abuse Fund to support delivery of its Domestic Abuse Action Plan in 2025/26.
