Question:
To ask the Minister of Health when the review of delegated nursing tasks in relation to direct payment carers will be published.

Answer:

My Department has engaged with stakeholders and families through the establishment of working groups and workshops, seeking to understand current practices and identify viable pathways to enable the safe and effective delegation of healthcare. This approach seeks to ensure the provision of the right care, in the right place, at the right time, by the right person, enabling people to live as independently as possible, in line with governing guidelines and legislation.

It is anticipated that the review and recommendations on the way forward will be presented to me by Autumn 2025.
