Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail any work ongoing to understand what costs families are being asked to pay by schools for laptops, tablets and other technology.

Answer:

The Education Authority (EA), through C2K and the Education Information Solutions Programme (i.e. EdIS), provides and manages the critical technology infrastructure and core provision of IT equipment, including digital devices, across the school’s estate. The EA does not ask parents for any financial contribution for laptops, tablets or any other technology used in schools.
