Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail whether there are taxi drivers who are currently delivering home to school transport services on behalf of the Education Authority, while still awaiting an enhanced Access NI certificate.

Answer:

The Education Authority (EA) has advised that all taxi drivers who deliver home to school transport must have Enhanced Access NI clearance in place prior to being deployed on a service and the EA will not award a contract to a private operator if this is not in place.
