To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any action he is taking to improve accessibility in older public buildings for people with disabilities.

Answer:

The capital budget position in my Department remains extremely challenging in the current financial year which has restricted the ability of this Department to take steps to improve accessibility in older public buildings.

The capital budget for 2025/26 has been utilised to ensure that all inescapable capital and competing high priority requirements are met in the first instance.
