Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail why the modular classroom at St Francis' Primary School, Drumaroad, damaged by Storm Éowyn in January 2025 is still awaiting repair.

Answer:

The project to repair the modular classroom at St Francis’ Primary School is a high priority and will be progressed as quickly as possible by the Education Authority (EA). Regrettably, delivery of the project has been delayed due to the unprecedented level of Special Educational Needs placements to be delivered over the summer period.

The EA has advised that it is currently preparing the construction tender package. It is anticipated that this will issue in November 2025, with work starting on site early in 2026, for an anticipated contract period of 12 weeks.
