Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister, pursuant to AQW 28824/22-27, to outline the role the Executive Office has in coordinating cross-departmental engagement to develop cross-cutting legislation on issues of Executive priority.

Answer:

Co-ordination is primarily the responsibility of the sponsoring department with lead responsibility for the policy issue. The Executive Office has responsibility for oversight of the Legislative Programme overall and would only adopt such a role in respect of legislation on specific issues where no obvious lead department could be identified.
