To ask the Minister of Education, pursuant to AQW 30422/22-27 and AQW 30423/22-27, to outline the capacity his Department has to facilitate a jointly managed community school, should a successful proposal be taken forward.

Answer:

My Department stands ready to facilitate and progress such a proposal should one emerge, to include consideration of the appropriate legislative, governance and operational foundations.

No action is being taken at this time to specifically gauge interest in jointly managed community schools. However, my Department regularly engages with schools and planning authorities across the sector as part of Area Planning considerations. No proposals have been indicated at this time.
