To ask the Minister of Education, pursuant to AQW 30422/22-27 and AQW 30423/22-27, to detail any actions he is taking to understand the interest in creating jointly managed community schools.

Answer:

My Department stands ready to facilitate and progress such a proposal should one emerge, to include consideration of the appropriate legislative, governance and operational foundations.

No action is being taken at this time to specifically gauge interest in jointly managed community schools. However, my Department regularly engages with schools and planning authorities across the sector as part of Area Planning considerations. No proposals have been indicated at this time.
