Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance to detail when funding will be made available to implement recommendations from the Review Body on Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration Fifty Third Report: 2025, given the pension tax consequences caused by delays in recent years.

Answer:

It is the responsibility of each Minister to manage all pressures including pay costs within their department’s allocated budget.

I am committed to working collectively with all my Executive colleagues to resolve the current issues.

We cannot deliver public services without public servants, and it is essential that all public sector workers, including health and social care staff, are appropriately rewarded and receive any pay award in a timely manner.
