To ask the Minister of Health whether green roof projects are being considered for (i) hospitals; and (ii) Health and Social Care Trust estates.

Answer:

Green roof installations are considered for all new construction projects within the health estate as part of the design process for the development of sustainable healthcare buildings. Several healthcare buildings currently have green roofs, and a green roof is forming a portion of the roof element at the new Lisnaskea Health Centre currently under construction.
