Question:
To ask the Minister of Health (i) for an update on the review of the population health needs of children attending special educational needs schools; and (ii) when he will publish this report.

Answer:

I have received the final report of the commissioned review of the population health needs of children attending Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in Northern Ireland.

The report identifies a number of areas where immediate improvements are required. I have therefore asked my Chief Nursing Officer to work closely with policy leads in the Department and other key stakeholders to progress the report’s recommendations.

A copy of the Report has been placed in the Assembly Library and will also be made available on my Department’s website.
