To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail any plans in place to prevent flooding on A26 underneath the railway bridge, near the Moira roundabout.

Answer:

Inspection and maintenance of gullies and drains are critical components of rural infrastructure management.

I am advised that the road gullies at this location drain into open channels situated on adjacent land. My officials have made arrangements for both the gullies and open drains in the vicinity to be cleaned, and it is anticipated that this work will be completed by the end of October 2025.
