To ask the Minister for Communities how his Department is working with local councils to ensure consistent enforcement of fire safety standards across Northern Ireland.

Answer:

My officials are currently drafting a high-rise residential building policy safety policy that will aim to ensure consistent enforcement of fire safety standards across Northern Ireland. Significant engagement has already taken place and will continue with council officials in the development of the policy to ensure consistency.
