To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any capital bids for sport his Department plans to submit as part of the 2026-2029 budget process.

Answer:

As part of the Department of Finance Information Gathering exercise, I have submitted a number of capital bids which recognise the societal benefits that sports bring, and my commitment to investment in sport. These bids are being considered as part of the ongoing work to set budgets for future years and will be subject to consideration by the Executive. Details of bids will be published as part of the budget consultation process.
