Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail when he will restore nursing provision to all special schools.

Answer:

All special schools across Northern Ireland can access appropriate nursing provision in line with the identified needs of the pupils attending them.

Any decisions regarding future levels of nursing provision in special educational schools, and the approach to its delivery, will be guided by the recommendations set out in the recently published Public Health Agency report on the healthcare needs of children attending SEN schools.

My Department is now initiating engagement with key stakeholders to progress this important work.
