Question: To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail (i) the works undertaken in Dromara in relation to street lighting, since 2020; and (ii) the costs incurred by her Department for these works.
Answer:
My Department is responsible for the provision and maintenance of lighting on adopted public roads and footways. Since 2020, all the streetlights in Dromara have been upgraded to LED lanterns under my Department’s LED transformation policy. In addition, the columns and associated cable network have been upgraded in Moybrick Road, Moybrick Grove, Hillsborough Road, Dromore Street, Rathfriland Road and Barclay Manor, Dromara. The estimated cost of these works is in the region of £200k-£250k.
