Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail (i) any work (a) being undertaken; or (b) planned to be undertaken, this year under the heading Trial and implementation of an Inclusive Play Programme approach, within the SEN Reform Agenda and Delivery Plan 2025-2030; and (ii) what will be delivered by this project.

Answer:

The Inclusive Play Programme is at the final design stage. Officials are engaging with Playboard, our delivery partner, to refine the programme which is expected to commence in January 2026.

The Inclusive Play Programme will provide a whole school intervention, that will embed understanding of inclusive play alongside play-based approaches across the school environment in terms of pedagogy, pupil relations, spaces, policy and connections into families.
