Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail (i) the number of seven seater vehicles purchased by the Education Authority for home to school transport; (ii) the cost of these vehicles; and (iii) the number of seven seater vehicles currently in operation.

Answer:
The Education Authority has advised that it has purchased 11 seven-seater vehicles to support the delivery of home to school transport at a cost of £402,967.
Two of these vehicles are currently in operation with another two due to start delivering transport in the coming weeks. The EA informs me that the delay in the full deployment of these vehicles is due to challenges faced in recruiting drivers.
