Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs whether additional water quality testing will be carried out in the Ballykelly River following the recent chemical pollution incident.

Answer:

My department has no plans for additional water quality testing. The Loughs Agency led the investigation, supported by my staff. Investigations pointed towards the incident being caused by a short duration discharge of a domestic chemical agent that quickly passed through the system.
