Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for a timescale for the installation of the planned pedestrian crossing on the A2 East Circular Road, near St Columbanus’ College, Bangor.

Answer:

Road safety continues to be a priority for my Department to ensure that all road users can travel safely and with confidence. I am acutely aware that children and young people are amongst the most vulnerable groups using our roads, especially near our schools.

I can confirm a new controlled pedestrian crossing on the A2 East Circular Road, Bangor, has been programmed for this financial year and will be completed as soon as resources are available.
