Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy whether an assessment has been made of the potential economic and tourism benefits for Northern Ireland, in hosting matches during the International Cricket Council Men’s T20 World Cup 2030.

Answer:

Tourism NI officials have met with Cricket Ireland to discuss the event. On the back of these discussions exploratory work is underway to consider the feasibility of hosting matches in the North.

Consideration of the wider benefits the event may bring including PR and broadcast opportunities, as well as economic impact, is underway but detailed information is not yet available to undertake a full assessment.
