Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail when changes will be finalised following the consultation on proposals to amend the Minimum Standards for Childminding and Day Care for Children Under Age 12.

Answer:

My officials have been analysing all 495 responses to the consultation exercise, and I will be taking decisions on proposed next steps in the coming weeks.

If it is considered that any urgent changes should be made to the Minimum Standards in advance of the completion of the wider review, these changes will be communicated through a Departmental Press Release, a Circular to HSC Trusts and a letter to all childcare providers.
