To ask the Minister of Education to detail who is responsible for the oversight of any decision to prosecute for school non-attendance.

Answer:

Local Education Welfare Service Court Panels consider cases to determine if legal proceedings are necessary to ensure that the child is educated. Oversight of each case is provided by a senior member of the Education Welfare Service.
