Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail the rational for having no provision for a therapy dog, in the Lisburn Local IMPACT Team, as part of the Special Educational Needs Transformation Programme.

Answer:

The SEND Local IMPACT Team model was developed on a budget neutral basis and therefore, as this provision was not previously offered through the individual Education Authority SEN Services it was not incorporated in to the model that went live in September 2025 including the Lisburn Local IMPACT Team.
