Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister to detail how the objectives, and spending, of the Northern Ireland Bureau in Beijing aligns with the Programme for Government, and the Executive’s Investment Strategy.

Answer:

The overseas bureaux in Washington, Brussels and Beijing support all the Executive’s Ministers and Departments and promote a consistent approach across government to maximise the opportunities of our international relationships and by promoting NI as a great place to live, visit, study and invest in. Our international teams work closely with overseas embassies and partners across government, including InvestNI and Tourism Ireland, to ensure policy and operational development considers the Northern Ireland trade circumstances, capabilities, and international market opportunities globally, to deliver on the Programme for Government objective to grow a globally competitive and sustainable economy.
