To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether her Department is facilitating the use of renewable energy sources for town centre Christmas lighting.

Answer:

I have not facilitated the use of renewable energy sources for town centre Christmas lighting as this is not a matter which falls within my Department’s remit.

I would advise the Member to contact each local authority to establish if they are facilitating the use of renewable energy sources within their area.
