Question:
To ask the Minister of Health, following the publication of NHS England's June 2025 report Independent Review of the PHA's Quality Assurance Arrangements for Cervical Screening in Northern Ireland, for his assessment of how the required Public Health Agency quality assurance improvement plan will restore confidence in the Cervical Screening Programme.

Answer:

NHS England’s Peer Review of the PHA’s Quality Assurance arrangements made six recommendations.

The PHA Board has fully accepted the findings, and all of the recommendations have either been implemented or are in the process of being implemented.
