To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, pursuant to AQW 20976/22-27, for an update on any progress.

Answer:

Since the response issued to AQW 20976/22-27 on 24 January 2025, Britain introduced further amendments in June 2025 to provide additional flexibility for alternatively fuelled vehicles.

The introduction of similar licencing changes here would be subject to the outcome of a public consultation process. Departmental officials have commenced work on this.
