Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail the costs associated with the TransformED agenda, including a breakdown of (i) budget spent on actions and projects within the agenda; and (ii) costs associated with (a) events; (b) travel; and (c) other project expenses.

Answer:

The TransformED Agenda represents much needed investment in core education delivery across curriculum, assessment and the education workforce.

Overall, there are 30 separate actions within the TransformED Delivery Plan. The investment to date, across these 30 actions, is estimated at £5,422,503. The vast majority of this investment relates to Teacher Professional Learning (£5,027,000) and has been allocated directly to school budgets.

The remaining expenditure to date relates to a variety of actions including Independent Review of Assessment (£27k), Qualifications Reform (£180k), Curriculum Reform (£12k) and Events, such as the TransformED school leaders conference, two-day curriculum conference for teachers and nine regional TransformED engagement events for school teachers and leaders (£108k).
