Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an updated timeline as to when construction works will commence on the extension of Presentation Primary School, Portadown.

Answer:

The Integrated Consultancy Team responsible for the design work on this project has submitted the final design stage, known as RIBA Stage 4 (Technical Design). My Department’s technical advisors are concluding their review of this submission.

Funding is available to progress SEP projects through the design stages to pre-tender. A decision to release projects to tender for a contractor will be taken on a case-by-case basis, dependent on budget availability at that time. I will continue to make the case for additional funding for education through the Executive to allow projects, such as Presentation Primary School, to progress to construction.
