Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on the reservoir safety works at the Broadwater Reservoir.

Answer:

Broadwater Reservoir is a Controlled Reservoir under the Reservoirs Act (NI) 2015. My Department, as Reservoir Manager, oversees monitoring and maintenance. The improvement scheme is currently at design stage with this phase scheduled for completion by Spring 2026. The “National Protocol for the Handling, Transmission and Storage of Reservoir Information and Flood Maps (UK Reservoir Safety Liaison Group, 2018)”, prevents the release of specific details of the works.
