To ask the Minister of Education, further to the NI Audit Office report, Managing the Schools' Estate, whether he will develop a plan to prepare for the transfer of assets from Public Private Partnerships and Private Finance Initiative schools in 2027 and 2033, to ensure these are appropriately maintained.

Answer:

My Department’s response to the Northern Ireland Audit Office report on Managing the Schools’ Estate, and the subsequent Public Accounts Committee hearing, will be set out in the Memorandum of Reply (MoR) to the Minister of Finance.

Once the MoR has been reviewed by the Minister of Finance, it will be presented to the Assembly and uploaded to the Department of Finance website.
