Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an updated timeline as to when the construction works will commence on the new sports hall and extension of the teaching block for Lurgan College.

Answer:

The design work on the School Enhancement Programme (SEP) project at Lurgan College is complete and the project is currently paused at construction pre-tender stage.

Funding is available to progress SEP projects through the design stages to pre-tender. A decision to release projects to tender for a contractor will be taken on a case-by-case basis, dependent on budget availability at that time. I will continue to make the case for additional funding for education through the Executive to allow projects, such as Lurgan College, to progress to construction.
