Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail any representation made to the UK Government in relation to the reform of the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme criteria, given that the scheme currently pays only for permanent damage with a 60 per cent disability threshold and does not currently cover compensation for temporary injuries or loss of earnings.

Answer:
My Department contacted the UK Government in July 2025 to ask if there were any plans to reform the VDPS, and to highlight concerns the Vaccine Injured and Bereaved Support (VIBS) NI members had raised about the scheme, including difficulties with the application process and the 60% disablement threshold. We await a response.
