Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance to detail any assessment his Department has made of the economic cost of child poverty in Northern Ireland as a proportion of GDP, similar to the Economic and Social Research Institute's estimate of 3.9 per cent in the Republic of Ireland.

Answer:

Responsibility for such an assessment would rest with the Department for Communities, given its policy responsibilities in relation to anti-poverty, and its lead role in developing the Anti-Poverty Strategy.
