To ask the Minister for Communities, in light of the UK Government’s decision to abolish the two-child limit in Universal Credit and Child Tax Credit, to detail any impact this change will have on the future (i) design; and (ii) funding requirements, of the welfare mitigation package.

Answer:

There are no plans to change the design of the welfare mitigation package.

My officials are currently working to assess the full impact of the abolition of the two-child limit, which will include any additional funding requirements for welfare mitigations.
