Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail the amount she expects to raise, per annum, as a result of the proposed socialised grid connection charge.

Answer:

The decision on Fairer Grid Connection Costs remove unfairness and enable homes and businesses to connect to the grid at a fair price. There will be no direct revenue raised by my department by this measure.

This decision will deliver fairness and balance regardless of your location across the region, it will help to encourage new investment in low carbon technologies and renewables, and it will place us on a more level playing field with our neighbours when it comes to attracting new business opportunities and renewable investment.
