To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail the average added annual cost of the proposed socialised grid connection charge to (i) domestic; and (ii) commercial, customers.

Answer:

The Utility Regulator has confirmed that the policy change to deliver fairer grid connection charges, does not constitute a reopening of NIE Networks’ RP7 price control determinisation and therefore there will be no additional NIE Networks’ charges for electricity consumers.
