Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any assessment that has been made of the number of serious adverse incidents occurring in hostels and temporary accommodation, in this mandate.

Answer:

This issue is an operational matter for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. I have sought the requested information from the Chief Executive, who has advised me as follows:

“Provider organisations carry out their own analysis of incidents to ensure that staff training needs, safeguarding considerations, and any identified risks are appropriately addressed. Major Adverse Incidents, along with other incident types, are discussed at Contract Management meetings and during Quality Monitoring visits undertaken by the Supporting People team with provider organisations.”
