To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on any discussions her Department has had with Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council, in relation to the proposed Belfast to Carryduff Greenway.

Answer:

Delivery of greenways are generally council led and in providing support, my officials regularly engage with all councils on their greenway priorities.

My Department can provide up to 50% of the capital funding required to support delivery of approved greenway projects, and officials will continue to engage with Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council to support delivery of their active travel priorities as plans advance through the various stages of scheme development.
