To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail when the crossing point at Ballynahinch Primary School will be operational.

Answer:

Road safety continues to be a priority for my Department to ensure that all road users can travel safely and with confidence. I am acutely aware that children and young people are amongst the most vulnerable groups using our roads, especially near our schools.

You will be aware that works to install the new controlled pedestrian crossing on the Dromore Road in Ballynahinch are nearing completion, with the new traffic signals expected to be operational before the Christmas holidays.
