Question:
To ask the Minister of Education, pursuant to AQW 32470/22-27, AQW 32472/22-27 and AQW 32473/22-27, to detail (i) the reason priority repairs have been delayed; and (ii) any updated delivery timescales.

Answer:

The Education Authority (EA) is delivering the project to repair the storm-damaged mobile at St Francis’ Primary School. Regrettably, due to the ongoing pressures in relation to Special Educational Needs placements, the EA has confirmed that the programme for the works has been delayed.

The EA now anticipates that the tender will issues in January 2026, with a contractor appointed in February 2026 and works commencing on site in March 2026. The estimated contract period is 12 weeks. The EA will actively investigate opportunities to expedite these timelines.
